5.2.15

26. Present continuous.

SUJETOAUXILIAR (TO BE)VERBO EN GERUNDIO
Iam ('m)talking
He, she, itis ('s)talking
We, you, theyare ('re)talking

Negativas

SUJETOAUXILIAR (TO BE)VERBO EN GERUNDIO
Iam not (‘m not)talking
He, she, itis not (isn’t)talking
We, you, theyare not (aren’t)talking

Interrogativas

En las interrogativas, el orden entre el sujeto y el auxiliar se invierte: Aux+S+V: Are you talking? / Is he talking?

Usos
Suele ir con los adverbios now (ahora), right now (ahora mismo), today (hoy)... : I am studying English right now.
We are going out tonight. (Vamos a salir esta noche).
Por último, también se usa para algo que está ocurriendo ahora, aunque no necesariamente en el momento de hablar: I'm studying maths this year.
